4 May 2023 - Resupply, More Lazy River, Rally Opening Ceremony and Dinner

Today is the first day of the Texas Alliance Rally.  Some coaches were still rolling in during the day as the Rally did not start until the evening.  So this morning we made a run into Galveston for some groceries and other supplies. We enjoyed the drive along the shore.

After lunch we enjoyed another afternoon floating around the lazy river with our friends.  The water is cool and very relaxing.

Later the registration tables opened and we checked in and picked up  our goodie bags.  Dinner this evening was provided by Katie's Seafood from Galveston and was a shrimp boil with sweet corn and potatoes.  They have their own fleet of shrimp boats so it does not get any more fresh than this!  For those who did not want shrimp they also served chicken breast.

After dinner we heard an update from Alliance RV Director of Customer Experience, Jim Bonacci who flew in today from the Goshen IN area.  Jim is a good friend and it is always a pleasure to see him.
Tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday are filled with Rally events, RV-related presentations from various speakers, meals, crafts, games and other events.  It should be a great time.
