This morning we loitered at Bailey's Harbor a bit as the travel time was projected at a little over two hours and check-in at our next destination was not until 1400 hrs. I called them about 0930 hrs and they said our site was open and "come on down", so we wrapped things up and hit the road at 10:26 hrs.
The trip from Bailey's Harbor to Oshkosh was uneventful. We basically retraced our steps back through Sturgeon Bay to Green Bay and then headed south on I-41 until we got to our exit in Oshkosh. The Kalbus Country Harbor campground is just a few miles east of I-41 and right on the west shore of Lake Winnebago. This is stop# 21 out of 42 on our trip, so even though we still have a couple more stops on Phase I, we are about half way done!
This is a tight campground. There is very little space on either side of our coach and because of the access road, it was extremely tight getting in here. Realizing my tires are inside and under my coach, you can see from my tracks in the picture below we had just inches between the side of our coach and the neighbor's power pedestal.
Our neighbor moved his car which allowed me to back up and gain a little space. We finally got parked and set up.
Kalbus Country Harbor campground sits right on Lake Winnebago. Today is kind of overcast and breezy, but we are hoping for some sunny days to come so we can better enjoy the view.
My son-in law (Michelle's husband) Keith accepted a couple Amazon deliveries for us at their home south of Milwaukee, and dropped them off yesterday at the campground office. I retrieved the box once we got situated here.
A couple of the items were for the truck. The windshield washer nozzles had become brittle and broke off, so the hose that delivers the windshield washer fluid had detached. I ordered new nozzles and replacement insulation retainers that hold up the insulation blanket to the hood, plus the tool used to remove them. Here is probably a whole lot more than you really want to know about this project :-)
